In September, the CSU’s new systemwide Adobe Creative Cloud agreement took effect, providing expanded access and long-term cost savings for all campuses. At Fresno State, the Adobe for All license brings new benefits such as unlimited Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, and more!

We’ve made things easier! Software activation is no longer done through On the Hub — you can now quickly activate your software through the AI Tools Self-Service Portal. For detailed instructions on how to activate your account, visit the Getting Started page.

For Students: Before activating your software, please make sure you’ve agreed to the Acceptable Use of AI Tools and Solutions in you MyFresnoState Portal. You’ll need to complete this step before accessing the Self-Service Portal.

*At this time we are only supporting Adobe Pro for Education accounts made with an @mail.fresnostate.edu email.

Adobe Pro for Education is free for matriculated students and current staff and faculty.

For Auxiliary/Foundation employees there is an associated cost. Please contact Technology Services. 

Adobe Pro for Education will be available through August 2028 and as long as you are a matriculated student or employee at Fresno State. 

Unlimited Adobe Creative Cloud [i.e. Adobe Pro] and Adobe Express are available to matriculated students and current staff and faculty.

Your Adobe Pro for Education license includes 2,000 generative AI credits per month. You can view your credit consumption and reset date in your account. Some examples of Adobe Apps that contain AI features include: 

  • Adobe Firefly: Text to Image, Generate Video and Translate and Lip Sync 
  • Adobe Photoshop: Generative Fill and Generative Expand
  • Adobe Illustrator:  Generative Recolor
  • Adobe Express: Generate Text effects

Yes, your data can be secure on Adobe Creative Cloud EDU when it is used in compliance with Fresno State and California State University (CSU) Responsible Use Policy.

The Adobe EDU partnership provides strong safeguards; however, users are responsible for adhering to campus and CSU standards for data classification, storage, access, and sharing.

The CSU agreement for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Express for Education ensures that all rights—including intellectual property rights—in and to CSU data remain the exclusive property of the University. Under this contract, Adobe does not use CSU data, user content, or creative assets to train its generative AI models.
